Compare the Dear Santa Basket and Dear Santa BouTray on size, price, and delivery to pick the right Christmas cookie gift for your recipient.
Quick answer
Choose the Dear Santa BouTray when you want a larger, more impressive Christmas cookie gift and a higher price point is acceptable; choose the Dear Santa Basket when you need a smaller, lower-cost gift that still feels festive and personal.
Size and price set these two apart
Both gifts share the same Dear Santa theme and allow you to choose one or two hand-decorated sugar cookies, but the BouTray is priced at $49.50 and the Basket at $23.00. That price gap reflects a larger overall presentation in the BouTray, making it the stronger choice for a centerpiece gift. If you are sending to multiple households or want to keep costs down, the Basket lets you do that without sacrificing the holiday look.
When the recipient matters more than the price
For a family member or close friend who will display the gift, the BouTray's larger size creates more of a wow moment. For a coworker, neighbor, or casual acquaintance, the Basket is a thoughtful gesture that doesn't feel excessive. Consider how the gift will be received: a large BouTray might be awkward in a cubicle or a small apartment, while a Basket fits easily on a desk or counter.
Delivery and freshness are equal
Both gifts are freshly baked and decorated with the same signature icing, and both can be delivered safely to the doorstep. That means your choice comes down to size and budget, not quality or shipping reliability. If you are ordering late in the season, both options are equally dependable for holiday delivery.
Trade-offs to weigh before you order
- Budget vs. impact: The Basket keeps your cost at $23.00, while the BouTray at $49.50 delivers a larger, more impressive presentation. Decide whether the recipient will value the extra size enough to justify the higher price. If you are sending to more than three people, the Basket may be the more practical choice.
- Quantity flexibility: Both gifts let you choose one or two sugar cookies and one or two dozen gourmet cookies, so you can adjust the amount of food without changing the theme. The BouTray’s larger base makes it better for groups, while the Basket suits smaller households. Match the cookie count to the number of people who will actually eat them.
- Recipient setting: The Basket fits neatly on a desk, counter, or small table, making it a safe choice for coworkers and acquaintances. The BouTray takes up more space and may overwhelm a small workspace or apartment. When in doubt about the recipient’s space, choose the Basket.
